Self-Protection Workshop – Women’s Session (Morning)
This event is now at full capacity, please email us on email@example.com to be added to the waiting list.
With the dark nights rolling in and a rise in personal attacks against women flooding the news, people can feel unsafe in their daily lives, even simply walking to their cars, so we want to help do something about it.
As an organisation that supports local businesses, we appreciate the importance of personal safety and feel passionate about keeping our colleagues and communities safe.
We would like to invite the women of our community along to this self-protection workshop, in conjunction with John Turner of EPIC Training. This workshop will include a hands-on opportunity learning some self-defence, plus the following:
- The Portal of Safety Drill – a fear controlling exercise enabling individuals to overcome their natural instincts to panic.
- “We become what we think about” – a demonstration of the power of the mind by a simple affirmation drill.
- Environmental awareness and hazardous situations.
- Skills for escape, control and destroying.
We would like to extend this invitation not only to our direct members, but to your family members also. So, if you have a wife, daughter, sister, mum etc that you feel would benefit, they are more than welcome.
While this session is aimed at women only, we would like to also run a men only session too, so if you or a friend, colleague or family member would like to attend, please register your interest by return email and we will inform you when we have set the date.
Self-protection is more than just learning to fight someone off. It can teach you to stay safe, survive, and ultimately defend yourself.
We hope to see you there.
