The Great Big Small Business Festival (GBSBF) week kicks off with the unmissable Business Hive Live, a day created to ignite connections and unlock new business opportunities. It provides a platform for businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans, and creators to connect with customers, network with like-minded professionals, and gain invaluable insights from industry experts.
With over 50 exhibitors from businesses across Northern Lincolnshire and hundreds of professionals coming through the doors, we also have fantastic guest speakers covering a range of current and engaging topics.
The day will starts with breakfast networking from 8:30 – 10:00 am

Keynote speaker: Dr Paul Redmond – 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Dr Paul Redmond is the Director of Student Experience and Enhancement at the University of Liverpool, Paul is a leading researcher of Generational Theory. His writings and presentations on Millennials, Generation Z, the changing world of work (the theme of his recent TED talk) and ‘Helicopter Parents’ have garnered him praise and respect from a range of national and international organisations.
He will share with the audience insights on how to engage and motivate Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z, helping organisations and professionals acquire the skills and knowledge to navigate today’s multi-generational workplace.
He believes that a happy workforce holds the keys to a thriving organisation and satisfied customers, and speaks on how to look after mental and physical wellbeing in the workplace.
Paul contributes frequently to national newspapers and other publications, and is a seasoned guest on radio and TV programmes, appearing regularly on the BBC and independent current affairs shows.
