This KTP Showcase introduces Knowledge Transfer Partnerships from the perspective of Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts and VCFSE.
Where: The Elliot Room, Constance Stewart Hall, Bishop Grosseteste University, Longdales Road, Lincoln, LN1 3DY
Bishop Grosseteste University welcomes you to attend an “Insights” and Innovation KTP Showcase event, which marks the start of our celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnerships programme. You can read about KTPs here: Home – Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
Whilst traditionally more associated with STEM activities, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are also a great way to support innovation in Education, as well as Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts for People and the Economy (SHAPE). As a university with a strong sense of social purpose and a long-standing connection with the local Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector we are also keen to showcase how knowledge transfer can benefit these types of organisations.
What to Expect:
At this event you will have the opportunity to:
- Find out how Innovate UK funding can be used to support innovation projects in Education, SHAPE and within the VCFSE sector.
- Hear about our ongoing KTP with Liverpool Cathedral and the “Insights” project that is being developed there from the project partners.
- Meet BGU academics and the BGU KTP team and find out more about our knowledge exchange opportunities.
- Network with local organisations who are interested in research and innovation.
The event will include a partnership panel from the BGU and Liverpool Cathedral KTP, who are currently running their “Insights” project to develop methods for measuring and evidencing the impact that Liverpool Cathedral has on its community and on new and existing audiences.
Following the presentations and the panel, there will be time for networking and collaboration, as well as the opportunity for you to ask questions about the KTP scheme and explore the expertise that Innovate UK and Bishop Grosseteste University have to offer.
