    Greater Lincolnshire Careers Hub

    About the Careers Hub
The national body for careers education in England is The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC).

The Greater Lincolnshire Careers Hub is delivered locally via Lincolnshire County Council (in partnership with regional partners) with the mission to strengthen careers education for young people by directly engaging schools, colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers across the region.

Across England, Careers Hubs operate as strategic partnerships between the CEC and local/regional bodies (e.g., Combined Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships) to support schools, colleges and employers.

Careers Hubs have been shown to drive up standards of careers education by supporting progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks of good careers guidance.

What this means for young people

    • Increased access to meaningful work-experience opportunities

    • More curriculum time that is explicitly linked to the world of work

    • Greater awareness of apprenticeships and technical pathways

    • Enhanced one-to-one guidance to support individual progress

    • Stronger chances of moving into a secure destination after school or college

    What this means for employers

    • A single point of access to schools and colleges in a coordinated and organised way

    • Direct interactions where they can meet their future workforce face-to-face

    • Opportunities to help shape the content of careers education so it aligns with real-world needs

    • The ability to target their programmes toward young people who need additional support
